stiffer mounts for HO 250

For your mounts, better to order the mounts references of the 250 HO G1 XXL
As you can see there is no void in the rubber as the 250HO 20 shaft called L.

Cast a glance here =http://www.boatmad.com/forum/f5/looking-aftera-set-of-solid-mounts-for-rude-250-ho-gen1-28305.html

For the steering system better to make an order with IMCO as they are far cheaper than Latham. See picture with IMCO

For the reinforced saddle, it will be complicate to find unless you built your own system.

thanks guys get back to me about mounts

I own a evinrude 250 ho 25 inch

just taken her off a ring ranger ranger 25 and stuck her on a phantom 25 I own

as soon as I pass 80..90 km she loses quite a lot of control

notice motor movement more then normal hence why I want to change mounts

Im also looking for a 20 inch mid section and lower unit for the engine as 25 inch

is causing too much drag ,,,,I own a bobs machine power lift but ill lose stability and central of gravity

cheers guys

I found a picture of P1 saddle. Looked like they had 10mm Ali plate on front and top face welded to saddle.

Yes, I've tested the XXL solid mount on the 250 HO G1 on a revenger 27 steps last year, that's far better than the original ones.
I've had a discussion with race marine who used billet solid mounts at a time, but they told me they have had problem on the exhaust plate= cracks.
And they told me better to go to XXL silent blocs which are the same reference than the old V8 300 silent block.
If you prefer metal ones (aluminum), I've an address in USA and prices
see picture for the imco on 250 HO G1
see picture for saddle reinforcement (exemple)
see pictures for XXL silent blocs and how the exhaust plate looks like

here is all the reference you need if you want to go to XXL model which goes perfectly on your engine.
For the IMCO 250HO G1 the kit tilt, wing plate, ram ass, helm control, helm control remote fill . all this but without hoses is 2618USD last November , you need to add shipping cost, plus vat.
I guess there is a supplier in UK, but as you live in Spain, better to order directly to IMCO, they are very reactive, send a mail to IMCO NEVADA sales@imcomarine.com

If you still have the pump you can try this link
IMCO HYDRAULIC STEERING KIT 1 EVINRUDE E-TEC 250 HO MOTOR, 1 RAM
if you're looking for another pump instead of capilano send me a PM, I'll give you some information's.

The top mounts suffer more than the lower one's.
See pictures how they are after one year of hard use (original L mounts)
see the exhaust plate metal ones made in USA, a lot of pain for the exhaust plates in the rough.
