Wow-olden but golden !
Whose mount was that then ?
I had a Lorne 21 ft Cat with an outboard
I prefer the Lorne design I have now the Slipstream as its better behaved
What a motor though looks like a gorgeous set up

Mike Hamilton Smith's Witch Of Endor I think, although the ad says Ender maybe my spellings wrong, anyway, this is an excellent buy for somebody that wants something beautifully looked after. Mike used to come to Windermere Records Week and bumped up the record bit by bit over many years. The boat was always immaculate. Big, stable and fast. Recommended. Maybe a bit pricey but look out for somebody buying it for the engine and punting the boat on. Record is currently frozen so if you fancy a dabble......

I ran one of those volvo drives for about ten years back in the late 70's they will run left or right hand with no modifications. It is one of the earliest drives that i can think of that runs twin vertical shafts that run into the lower unit. Output shaft is the same as the Merc BP so any solid hub prop fits. There was a huge choice from the circuit boys, never laid a spanner on mine just changed the oil occasionally but i was only running about 250hp through it, i would have thought it was absolutely on it's limit with 500hp and i bet spares are really hard to come by now...

If anybody has any 270e spares I'm running with a crack In the final drive cog on my rib, spent fair bit of time searching for replacement to no avail.

Hi cosworth,
If it is any help i can get really high quality gears made to patten even if there is only part of the gear left, in either hobbed or hobbed & ground i do it all the time for obsolete machinery and with the advances in materials they are usually better than the originals.
