Navyard !! Ever bought from them ???

While trawling through ads on Boats and Outboards I came across a company called Navyard and their products seem to be at prices that are a bit too good to be true, Anyone come across them and bought safely from them ??

What always puzzles me is if you go to a business address and every time you go their it says closed and looks unused no work going on, no visible stock would you use them ... you'd be mad if you did, because if you hand over some hard earned you may not see it again and how do you get hold of them to get it back so why is a little computer shop window any different

I'm sorry timtap you may be a really intelligent person but this was never a business to trust with your money along with zillions of other internet site's, did you not go to the contact us page, do you never look for a contact us page and if their is no address then it don't exist in the real sense of the word, it's just a pretty computer image and if their is an address google earth it then phone ask for directions my mates have done this loads of times and many are immediately obvious, the given address is a fake

PS ... sorry for the rant that normally happens on a Monday

Navyard Limited
The Naval House
Kings Quay Street
Harwich
Essex
CO12 3JJ

Company No: 03073842

Note: Accounts currently 3 months overdue.

I have come across this website before and been surprised at the prices. I think that the prices maybe correct but they are the price of the products as bought from its country of origin, eg. before shipping and taxes and therefor is very unlikely to be the total price. (A spratt to catch a mackerel).

In my opinion the website is too vague and by not publishing proper contact details on their website they are not being open and forthright.

I would avoid like the plague.

Anyone that pays thousands of pounds to a website for something they've never seen in person is quite clearly retarded and deserve to get scammed! Just my opinion of course

Thousands yes but what about £50-100 what then?
I would of corse check and always speak to someone first and check out their credentials.
I would also pay using a method that would cover you for a scam such as Pay pal or a credit card.

But saying people deserve to get scammed is a bit strong!

Maybe a bit strong, but the world is a dodgy place full of dodgy people, and things like this are usually pretty easy to spot.

If it looks too good to be true it usually is!

Fortunately, the promoter of this years Harwich powerboat race lives 100 metres from the Harwich address stated for Navyard and of course, knows the Naval Yard very well.
In fact, it is where we will be crane launching the race boats and we are appreciative of their co-operation.
It's a busy vehicle dock, stuffed full of Land Rovers going out and others coming in, but they are still willing to accomodate us for the good of the port.
There is no boatyard or trade/retail business in there, only the shipping offices and a tight security presence.

The Naval Yard will be very interested to know that its address is being used in this way and will, no doubt, respond accordingly.

With reference the Navyard web site offering boats for sale, we have spoken to the Directors of Navyard in Harwich and they were only recently made aware of this site by telephone calls from disgruntled customers who had paid money and not received their goods. Please let it be known that Harwich Dock and Navyard in Harwich have no connection whatsoever with this bogus company who have highjacked Navyards name, address and registration number. The matter has now been passed over to the Marine Police for investigation.

Many thanks.
