New toy

Got a Bernico f2 today just to have a play with. She is a 23ft model. Going to put my johnson 300 v8 on the back to see what it goes like.any tips on set up would be appreciated as I've never had a Bernico before.

The old F2's were designed around the Merc 280 with a 15" mid. With that set up, pulling over 8k they would tow a skier at around 90. As ski racing changed to greener, standard engines they never ran as well with a 5" aluminium block on the transom and the 300XS. The extra weight and higher centre of gravity tended to make them 'nod'. A V8 would exaggerate this.
