What make are they, are there lots of them around and anything else you can think of that would be of interest

Sundancer I think was Alday Built, Don Shead Design. Adam would knows for sure If memory serves his Dad had one of the only two built for a while, Think might even have been Sundancer

Sundancer was originally Robert Doxford's (Mike Doxford's brother of Limit Up Fame) boat Robert Bruce. It also became Pobjoy Mint with Derek Pobjoy.

John you're right about it being Allday Aluminium to a Don Shead design. Class CCII.

Yes Allday / Don Shead. My father had the other one which was built as Unohoo but was then called Ford Persuader.

They ran with a pair of 250 Sabres - uprated to 300hp. I think Sundancers were then up-graded to 365's and also on outdrives whereas Ford Persuader was running on shafts.

Did my first race in Ford Persuader in 1976, Cancer Research race at Poole, which would have made me about 13 at the time!

Last I saw of Sundancer was Lady Arran racing it and then I think it may have gone out to Gib when sold?

Ford Persuader did appear at Cowes a few years ago (not racing) and looked much the same.
