Oi! This dopey blonde has just done the 26.2miler!

Well that's it boys and girls, my first ever marathon. I've had all the wise cracks off some of you on the phone..... but i dragged myself to the end. The first 10 miles I ran at an impressive average of 9minutes per mile, then i slowed, at 17miles it got really tough and at 19miles there was the possibility if suicide But I had Cancer research to think of!!!

19 to 20 I had to walk because my knees nearly gave way, then I had my second wind and finished in 5hrs 8mins which wasn't bad for my first time, I was going to run with my mate Paula Radcliff but thought I'd give her a chance and hang back a little

But I have to say that when the horn blast went..... I was fortunate enough to be in the celebrity pen which meant that I was over the line with the elite athletes Not many cross the line first, some are 45mihutes back in the queue......so how did I wang that one then?? But it was only a matter of seconds before they were all out of site and 10s of 1000s of people left me standing!

Thanks to the guys and girls who sponsored me. Especially Sheila at the RYA and to SPORTSBOAT. Thankyou very much,

It was really tough but worthwhile. Now I'm getting ready for my Transatlantic Rowing Race! yipes!

Got to go, bed is calling x

Hey.. Mr fuller.. can have one of those spinin prop avatars.. i dont know how to get avatars.. or a mermaid with big tits or something.. not that the 2 are remotely similar but they both spend a lot of time in water and make bubbles :-) one through the force of nature and the other cos you stamp on the gas!

either way they both involve gas:-)

xxxx
