The OL is my personal boat! Being the owner of Links Marine I own all of them that are listed on my web site. I dont want to mix the 2 together on here so anyone interested in other boats than the OL can check my site.

keeping up with world affairs I guess me and a lot of other people over here have noticed your gas prices sky rocketing as well as our own over here do you see this causing a slowdown in your own home grown market which up till now has always seen great potential in boat sales or do you think that if you can afford $250k for a boat you can afford the fuel even at a 20%+ increase...your boat I must admit is very very nice

I am on my way to having the best sales yr ever! The gas prices will be around 4.00 a gallon on land and that is also a record here in the States, I'm guessing it will be close to 5.00 a gallon on the water this yr. My business is based on fishing boats (Bass, Aluminum and Smaller Saltwater Fishing Boats) Those customers will always go fishing but they will not go as far to fish so they will burn less fuel. The group that I run with all have Hot Rod Boats and I think we will still run every weekend and we will run shorter as well or at least run them a little easier! The OL is good on fuel (Due to the Quad Step Hull) as long as you run negative to zero boost but if you spool it up "Look Out" cause it will hurt your pockets. I can cruise with negative boost at around 80 MPH. The average high perf boat market is really down but the higher end stuff is moving (slow but moving).

I would be interested in talking to you futher on some motors, Please use the contact info on my site to e-mail me with the motors you are interested in and I would be happy to get you info and pricing, There is a difference between the XS and the Pro XS! The 280's are available also but only as separate assy's like a drop-on powerhead, center section assy, lower unit assy, etc! Can not buy a complete motor here unless it has a non shiftable gear case and thats only on the non DFI motors, May be different if going out of the States but I dont know how that would work.
