P18 - Help with history

Hi folks,

I bought my P18 nearly 10 years ago from a marina in Lowestoft, they were very sketchy about its history other than it had been used for ski racing, and that it at some point in the past had been rigged as a twin with straight six mercs!!!

Marks on the transom and the instrumentation on the dash would seem to tally up with this as it came with twin trim & temp gauges as well as twin start/stop kill buttons.....

I have never seen any P18 with twins, or indeed any that were used for ski racing, can anyone help me out on this. Is it just bull$*it? Or is there some truth in what I was told?

The boat is called 'Misbehaving', albeit this was probably a new for name when it was sold to me.

Any thoughts, very much welcome.

Just resurrecting an old post here..... Still got the boat and still runs great!! I'd just love o know a little more about its history.... Do any members have any knowledge of it?

If you give the boat serial number, I may be able to find out for whom the boat was originally built. No guarantees though.
