Performance of the Year
Now it's "that time of year" when people are handing-out awards (BBC Sports Personal Banality of the Year etc.), I'd like to propose an "Unsung Hero's" Award...
Mine would definitely go to TEAM 25... for their amazing performance (until the mystery "parking"!) in the Needles Trophy...followed-up by an equally outstanding (largely un-rewarded) performance at Cowes..
A close second would be the "oh so near" Hot Lemon who crunched through everything to Torquay and back... only to come a close second...!
And close third to my intrepid heros in Cinzano, for finally getting-it-right. ...about time they had some luck! (Maybe it's 'cos they're so ruddy nice!!)
Waddya think?!

BOB mcarthy
for his constant services to anything boat related what so ever
there would be little "smaller powerboat raacing" if it wasnt for him
and yet still manages a 100mph + in a mono hull single engine outboard this year to boot
my vote

My vote would go to the safety crews who sit out on the water whilst we do our thing, in all weathers and with very little thanks. To the pit marshalls who put up with all the whinging and abuse from certain "prima donnas" who seem to think they can do what they like. To the officials who cannot ever please some people, but still offer their services every week. To the race organisers, without whom we would be sat in front of the telly!!

That sounds a bit like a Miss World speech, but I do agree.

Well that's a start - any advance on £3.50 for a 15" Sportmaster in excellent condition with a 1.75:1 ratio and a thin shaft?
