Question phantom 16 transom hight please help

Hi I am naw to boating and have just bought a phantom 16 and it doesn't seem to be set up properly I have been told that it is because it has had the wrong engine put on (merc 70hp 20 inch shaft) and the transom is 25 inch is this normal or has it been changed as I can't find a xl shaft which will fit the phantom 16??
Please help!!

You have been told wrong information by people who know a little bit about boats but not about performance boats. Follow drivers advice!
