When did they start to splash this model? I took pictures of a red 28 in Oostende in '92, powered by two 2.4 Mercs.

I have, at last, managed to establish the number of 28 hulls we produced.
Some of the detail is hazy ( dates for example ) but I think it’s O.K. as far as the total number is concerned. The order is probably correct but I cannot guarantee it.
So we have:-
1. 1983 ? Blue/white ( ‘Cruiser deck’ - Mike Bellamy’s blue whale ) = known
========================
2. OCL Suzuki ( I’m pretty sure we built this before Brut ) = Unknown became 'Warrior', then 'British Bulldog'.
3. Red/white ( first Brut class II) = Known (france, not good anymore) became 'Sleuth'.
4. 1986 Black boat ( Dealer in Gib. ) = Unknown
5. 1988 Yellow Brut class II ( reasonably light construction ) = Known (spain) became 'Agitator', then pleasure boat.
6. ? All red boat ( Maurice ) = Known (Taz - victim of Dutch splash / re-decked) became inboard, then Taz's boat.
7. 1990 White + red/grey stripes ( Peter and Jan’s cruiser class boat) = Known (france) became pleasure boat of Chris Dodge
8. 1990 All Oxford blue boat ( dealer in Thanet ) = Unknown
9. 1992 All white bare boat ( Malta ? ) = Known (victim of Chaudron splash)
10. 1993 White + red/grey stripes ( U.K. dealer - Triple Yams ) = Known (rich) became Martin's 'Power Products Marine', then scotts then eventually Rich's.
==============
1994 ( Deck mould up-date May ‘94 )
11. 1994 White + ? ( Portugal )
12. 1994 White + blue ( Greece )
13. 1994 White + ? ( Greece )
14. 1995/6 White + black deflector ( Roger Severy’s )
15. 1999/00 White + yellow ( Jon Fuller's )

I thought the original Brut 28 was damaged in a collision with a cruiser raceboat in a Poole race (needles ?? ) . I have some photos of British Bulldog from the owner approx 15 years ago found them out a year or two ago and tried contacting even looking up the address on Google earth to see if I could see the boat!! transom split I think when fitted with two v8 Johnsons when it was Avonvale Flyer after Warrior hence the inboard probably got it all wrong ! so stand to be corrected.

phantom 28
i would say its a copy (splash) as Stefano Casiraghi lost his life in monaco in 1990 and when you look at list of boats built pre 1990 they are all accounted for. Also i would guess if you have paperwork for holland it would be a raffshore or bernico hope this helps

Just from my initial look at those pictures and the rigging, Im pretty confident thats one our of Marks/raffshores moulds and rigged at Bernico. It may even be the boat that was pictured on raffshores website for years.

Love the fact people know so much about these boats, where they have been etc. Great to read.
Great to know I’ve got one of the original 9

I have build only 1 out of the dutch molds for a German 16 years ago and the guy still has it.
Then the molds went back to the owner.

I think in 2001 I had a german customer who asked me to build him a boat in existing moulds. I have build 1.
Then the moulds where abandoned on our boatyard for years and years and I think around 2008 or 09 the owner picked them up again.

Can anyone tell me who has the rights and moulds to the original Phantoms currently?
All the best, Eddy
