Apologies...can't help with techie stuff...

But I've sat on it (yesterday) and it's absolutely beeeeautiful...

Should eat up the Solent on a sunny day...a boat for blasting round Poole Harbour really....

(Now this is a very Missus-type comment , but great colours!!!!! and with the deck cushions as well should be a big hit with the laydees!!!!)

Fab console...seats...not much storage though ...actually none that I can remember ... and NO ANCHOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're far too rufty tufty for it!!!!needs a decent driver too otherwise I'm not going out if it's out there!!!!!!

Go & have a look...
A driver's boat!!!!!!!Eyecatching & could leave Cookee crumbling on a good day!!!!

I don't know if you've ever met Neil Holmes, but he's the size of a large house, and has an enviable record as a powerboat racing driver (7 times world champion in various classes ) and I'm sure he'll find these comments 'interesting'.

I'm also sure he'll be only too happy to take a few of you 'rufty tufty' workboat types out in some fun conditions to show you just how little control you really have over your sphincter muscles!

Got a lot of respect for Neil - he has been there and done that and got lots of trophies to prove it!

Doubt if the boat will top 70 mph in standard cruising trim with a 200 on the back though but I've been wrong before!

Mind you if he raises the engine and puts a big prop on it - who knows?

is it his boat? Not that we've met him!!!!
(The guy selling it is on RIBNET.)
What I meant by blasting was, it seemed to me (and after all we know I know nothing!!!) it would love flat water & using its speed potential!!!

We both wondered what it would be like to take a few big waves over the nose like us rufty tufty types tend to have to do at times!!!

Wouldn't mind having a spin on it...the passenger seats had equal status!!!!

It was hard to look away But Jackso's a practical man & thought things through!!!!!!! We'd have had to live on it also...and it wasn't as accomodating as Leviathan!!!!

Neil builds them, and you'd be very surprised what they will do (in the right hands of course) in a lumpy sea.

Neil in a 7.5, Andy in the Techno 40 and Chris Strickland in a 10M Scorpion were the only boats to take on the rough last leg of the Oct poker run

In the right hands is the key point!!!!
That's what will hopefully happen...that the boat goes to someone that can handle it!!
The chap selling it says it handles the waves well also.

Whole 'nother ballgame speed innit?

thks so with a yamaha 200 v-max about 64-66mph ??
my friends went to chichester area to see it yesterday, very impressed, couple of things they noted....

hull actually a 2001 stamped on hull, although the broker seems to think its a 2002 as it wasnt used in 2001 !!
used to have a 225 honda 4stroke I believe which was swapped for the yamaha last year... so there's holes all over the transom as the mountings are different??

Throttle been moved from the console (again more holees) and put in a riduclous place dowen near the floor..... my friends would like to change this to a foot throttle...

Just seems strange that all this has been changed on a boat only 3 years old!!

yes no storage at all and they were thinking of getting some bow cushons put in ??

Broker seems to think 25k is the price this will sell and there not really any flexibilty

Does anymore know cost as new for one of these?? and what they think its worth now....

cheers....

Didn't it used to be a foot throttle set up? (the holes seemed to be there)...didn't like the little marks on the console either...

We thought the price was good. The dealer's on RIBNET. (I'll pm you his contact if you like)

Andy Edwards sold his 2003 Evo/225 Opti last week for 25K boat had 18 hours on whole rig from new, and was totally perfect (on trailer) I think it cost him just shy of 30K in Aug 03, new direct from Neil.
