Phantom Website

I've decided to put together a small website dedicated to phantom boats, it hopefully be a useful resource for phantom enthusiasts, and potential buyers, as well as being of general interest to those into the British racing scene over the last 3 decades or so.

Mr Chaos, who is very keen for such a site, has already produced a home page image to start the ball rolling.

I am VERY keen, however to use matts terminology, i'm not sure exactly what i'm likely to 'bring to the table'?

It'd be good to have something factually based, with lots of history & nostalgia. it'll stop alot of bollix being spoken

You should host it seperately from the boatmad stuff to keep it tidy and organised. I just happen to know someone who does hosting.....

Just had a chat with Mr Baker, who's gonna dig out all the line drawings etc that he still has and scan them for me.

I intend to have an information page for each model with the line drawings, tech info, production years, #'s made and pics

Would it be possible to put have a database detailing the boats (serial numbers) that differed from the standard construction. That way if you go to look at one you could find out its construction and if its not on the database its standard.

I think thats a great idea johnyjames dude & have mentioned it before

but that wont half take some time to compile 30 something years of boats. Plus, lets remember its totally dependant on someone allowing you to have all their records.

If it where my co. i'd be in atleast 2 minds whether to release it all or not
