I took that picture.

it was October 1992 at RAF Lynham. Being loaded onto a United Arab Emirates C130 Hercules. flying to Abu Dhabi via Cairo. Geoff Purves, Johnny Fay and myself visited the pyramids at midnight the next night on our stopover in Cairo.

An interesting trip.

Jon did you race in her??

We were going out to race for sheik sultan bin kalifa, eldest granson of sheik ziad (so second in line to the throne). He made some calls.

We were running in 6 litre (S) not 4 litre as it ran here (D)

I have shed loads of pictures of the time out there, but can't find em at the mo. we spent the season out there, flying back and forth for races.

Yes I did.

whats all this about shutter speed?

The plot thickens.....

Firstly thought you were a "Mono" type of guy!
Secondly seeing as you were behind the camera who are they guys in the picture.
Thirdly, if you had a slower shutter speed the exposure would have been better? Box Brownie or SLR??
Ticky there are some folk who would pay good money for those pictures
