The limit was imposed by a non-elected quango based on 10 year old projection, which was way-off. This was despite them having previously stated that Windermere would always be home to power boats as all the other lakes had banned them.

kate Hoey (sports minister at the time) couldn't influens them, so I don't see a petition to B Liar will help much - but I will sign up anyway.

Also note legal move reported on http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cumbria/6360067.stm - this centres on human rights - so probably has better chance than any pseudo-democratic approach !!

More people would like to change the national anthem to "Gold" by Spandau Ballet than want to remove the windermere limit.

If theres one thing rearly nobs me off,

Is what the ramblers/ enviromental blow hole's, and new comers to windermere have done in the name of the "enviroment".

I lived in Norway for along time, with lovley turquose fyords with log cabin's, sprawn across butifull snow capt mountains, and so on, but They never had any complaints about high reving power boats and the like (where they were many!.) if you get the picture.

Sure",the country is getting more over run by ever increasing noise/traffic polution, whair as Windermere has such a vast race, and speedrecord history just leave's me asking why? If the blow holes want a clean/quiet/fresh/do goody enviroment,,

F*** off tho the north pole!!

( loacals, and neiburing woodland groups wouldn't close down Donnington park because they didn't like the smell of oil, and high reving engine's every weekend?.

The ban rearly does takes the p***!
