Thumbs down Preposed Licenceing Of Powerboats

I have just heard that ABP Southampton are considering licencing all craft with a maximum speed of 25 knots or over, the charges are not known at the moment but will keep you informed. All boats will have to have to provide details of insurance at time of application and carry copy of same at all times. Licence applications will be thru ABP or if stopped by any of their patrol vessels can be done on the spot, usually find a patrol vessel off Dockhead. All boats to have licence numbers displayed on the hull .

Is this another nail in the coffin for powerboaters.

If I find out anymore details I will let you know through BM or you can contact ABP Southampton 023 8033 0022
