Mercury laser? Not bad all round, not great either though. It's a bit like asking for a wheel that'll suit any vehicle whether it's a tractor, ferrari or a mondeo.

Propeller Company

Phantomboy17,

For that Phantom deal with:

DAH PRO-Pellers
Jeff or John Janaky
3411 WAshingto Avenue
Burlington WI 53105
USA
Phone: 262-534-4440
Fax: 262-534-2738

They have tuned most of the propellers in Bermuda that have powered the A and B class winners in the around the island race.

Being that the motor that won this year was borrowed most likely that the propeller used was also tuned by DAH.

They are very familiar with what is needed for racing in Bermuda.

Fast efficient service as well.

I used ALL their props for my Phantoms and Mazco on the Skater.

what did you run on a 21 skater? a "profermence prop" or merc et? or a mazco?

also, what kind of question is that a prop is picked for a certain boat, conditions, set up, gear ratio, set back and what your looking for..

Hey ber1023,

We ran Mazco round ear propellers on the Skater back then. We used the 28 pictch propeller when it was calm to medium weather and a 27 when it was rough and speciallt to keep up the rpms on South Shore to accelerate of the swells. We were racing the 260 hp 2.5 then so things might be different with the 280's, which I have never driven, as some guys like to run the mercury ET props but what ever works best is what you have to go with.

The only other single skater I drove was the Yamaha and man did that thing have some awesome acceleration at the time and definitely fast !
