Damons dad, graham, had a six seater, twin engined cessna and alledgely flew lucky toTANGANYIKA,they were best pals, graham was questioned by scotland yard at the time but never grassed, the only person that could throw any light on it now would be Damon,he would have been 15 at the time.Incidently, shortly after the alledged flight graham crashed in the plane, killing himself and five pals, the crash was never really explained. As Paul Burrell would say, dark forces at work?

clue
"Don races his "****** boat." He built this experimental race boat with a beam that was less than 7 feet. The boat was very fast, but also very unstable. He decided against racing it again and sold it".

1965 Pictorial

Brave Moppie - T.Powell?

Goodness,it`s a wonder `Thunderbolt` hasn`t come charging into the fray on that.

What`s all the World Cup clues for,we won in 1966.

More medication nurse,I can`t take much more of this.

The pics are actually bloody rare, and it would be nice if they were posted individually. These should really be incorporated into the Boatmad Gallery.Blue Marlin is the only colour shot I`ve seen of this boat (Don Shead`s first offshore boat in 1961 before D.Day had it).

Original Question was when was this photograph first published? (in a group of 4 pictures)
answer below......

I found aload of these old magazines in the attic, incidently brave moppie did win the 65 cowes classic but the answer to the question for both parts is still 1996

1966 Mag

With regard to your 1966 Mag showing 1965 race pics `Dowdy`,would you mind if I added them to the Boatmad Gallery. To be honest,if they were photographed individually the results could be even better than they are at present for recording purposes. Thanks for sharing them with us.
