Racer feedback needed

Well after a really good taster day what is the feeling regards mixed class racing across OCRDA & UKFFORC using the established 1.3 (E9000)& 1.8(OCRDA A) classes racing together alongside the introduction of a 2.5L class.

Would 3 events per region per year be interesting? i.e. 3 combined national events in the West, 3 in the East and 3 Basics across the regions.

2 races per day and the potential start line of 20+boats in the Larger classes plus 2 races per day for the juniors in the established S250 & F400 classes too. This would provide a venue with 4 races per day with the classes of racers which can be seen from the shore, jetty, pier etc ???

So what are the racers views???

OCRDA and ORDA have put on multi class racing this season. The two clubs worked well together and pulled off good racing weekends. Any other club would be welcome to come and race with us, however with OCRDA's 2 races per day and ORDA's race, any more races would have to be run very tight due to the tidal and time constraints, as to racing together, that would be another story and one for the club committees to scrutinise closley.

multi class

ORDA andOCRDA have already offered kids class to join us in multi class events and we was turned down by mr swan.If there has been a change of plan why dont you bring your proposals to the clubs and classes meeting this month and air your views. We have spent a lot of time and effort trying to get this plan off the ground

To start with we're not 'KCLASS' any more as all of that belongs to Vicky & Tom at Wanda and we have been UKFFORC for nearly a year now, plus over 50% of the membership this year are adults. Also we don't call the circuit drivers 'kids class' even though they start at an early age too?
As far as Mr Swan turning things down, last year it was agreed by both clubs that there would not be enough time to coordinate all the racing at Torquay and our racers would have suffered the short fall, which was reflected at Gravesend this year when our races were either cancelled or curtailed even though our racers were waiting ready and on time......
I think that if the next CCM meeting had not been changed to the day before our last callendared event Mr Swann would have delivered the proposal in person though i suppose now it'll have to be on paper now.
One question though, why are the established classes not receiving new competitors or attracting back those who raced before?

firstly we have attracted new 1.3 members for 2009 plus 6litre have expressed an interest in returning to our venues.Secondly your club will always be reffered to as kids class because that is how it was started and it cant really grow from that as any bigger classes are already in place.
