Immersed Propellor monohull is simple:

1) Monohull ie no bladerunner or cat or tri etc....
2) Inboard engine
3) Immersed propellor, although anerston counts as immersed.

I was thinking of a 900hp blown small block v8 ( fits in the V24 engine bay ) for an attempt next year. In the USA there is a V24 doing a stupid 130 mph on the lakes..

I would think so! he's gotta if he wants to be competitve in ProVee.

I'm also sure it's capable, as he ran the 96 with the bow tank full to stop the porpoising, so once he gets it all happy and in harmony, he'll be flying.

Fountain @ Coniston

Is this the Fountain "Patriot Wave"?
If so I know the owner - Howard Wretham and he's been competing in the ProVee series in Arendal etc, if it weren't for a couple of mechanical let-downs he would've been nearing the podium if not on it especially if he hadn't missed the first two loacations of the series.

Hi Chris, the Fountain in question is actually a Buzzi for a while, Fabio Buzzi and Reggie Fountain were in bed together, and reggie built a few strange hybrid things with buzzi style canopies, buzzi tri-hulls etc. this boat is basically a Buzzi through and through, built for Reggie by I believe Skater. 36' long, very narrow, canopied, single blown BB (950hp) driving through a TriMax (buzzi) drive. There are quite a few genuin Buzzi articles running in Europe, some with tubes (rhib).

It was campained in the US for a while, then rule changes left it class-less over there and after siiting around doing nothing for a year or two, it was bought by Howard Wretham and shipped over here.

These are the best pics I can find at the mo, will get some better ones for you.

Here's the same Buzzi hull, running big (seatek) diesel power, and the addition of a silly rubber tube.

In the right hands, the narrow buzzi is a killer in the rough, very capable indeed.
