Thaks for all your answers

But I have couple more questions to ask

Bob how fast would 19ft bernico be with stock 150hp??
I will be using it as a pleasure boat. I think I will buy 4stroke engine to this boat. I know that they aren't high performance engines but there any couple reasons why I want 4 stroke.

Second thing is why argo website isn't working??
Is any other place where can I find specs of those boats??

Budget isn't huge problem because I'm not buying boat now but I'm planning to buy it and If I won't buy it next year I will buy it in 2 years. I'm not racing and I'm changing boats once per 8-10 years ( I have my clubman for 8 years now) and that is why I want to know what would be the best for me. I don't want to spend my money for boat I will not like

Anyway there are some cool boats like b-23 made by ocke mannerfelt or similliar boat like backdraft.
But I think that they need some more power than 150hp

Last think. I know boatsandoutboards.co.uk
Can you tell me if there are some other website where can I find some boats??

Thanks Again
MIKE

The b23 ocke mannerfelt def needs more than 150hp and is tandem deck (backdraft also) so if your not gonna race i wouldnt go for one of these! Cant really go wrong with a phantom in my opinion!

Boat

19 ft Boat with 150 will be good for about 60 mph , mine does 60+ with 130 yam & would be similar top speed with 115-140 4 stroke not much to be gained with 150 4 stroke maybe just some extra grunt , wasted moving the extra weight.

Have you tried to call Harry Argo ?

boatsandoutboards is the main online independant to look for boats. the other sites are more specific ie phantomuk.co.uk or www.bernico.be etc,

I believe 150hp Honda weight less than 130hp
But offcourse there is very light Suzuki 140hp

Is your yamaha stock?? What about lower unit?? Did you put nose cone??

Boats

140 Suzuki is the lightest of 4 strokes. My 130 is as it came out of the box , the only mod is nylon engine mounts.

I dont think i would want the weight of a honda on a 19' boat !!

So 19' bernico with 140hp suzuki, good propeller, nose cone and some set up time should give me 60mph+...... I think it is nice

Ok last question
Does bernico have V-pad?? Or is it V ??
Which of those boats have V-pad bottom??

boat

Personally have found no real advantage on these engines with nose cone !!
You are starting to move into the realms of Racing !!

A 19' boat with 140 Suzuki with perhaps a 24" laser should give approx 60mph as a std setup! for your suggested use there is no need to lift engine too high or add any extra's

It will run a larger prop than most of the 130-140 hp range due to its very low gear ratio !!

Bob
