This amounts to circa 80 pages,so if there is any particular area you don`t get feedback on,the Basildon reserve library is still functioning.
Thanks for the offer Graham, might have to tap the Basildon reserve library at some stage.

Boiled an engine but hey if stuffed sounds better

Did you know we gave away lots of petrol ( some turned with tins ) to the chaps from the marina just to get some weight of the boat as it had to go by road on a dogi trailer What made me laugh was one of the guys had a diesel car so asked for a t shirt instead.

I have just bought a copy of the book after reading this thread, what a great read, 2/3rds of the way through after two evenings. Derek has a lot to answer for as I am staying up far too late at night reading!

I am not a racer myself but enjoy the sport. My interest is in classic speedboats/classic outboards & the interest crosses over a bit as one of my boats is a 17' wooden Stapely with a Merc 140 (115 shaft hp) tower on it. Ex ski race boat, that runs just under 60mph on gps. The engine is being pulled down & given a birthday this winter as I need to get her up to (or just over) 60 so I can say in all confidence she is a 60 mph boat!!

Please don't go around telling people I've been keeping you up all night- my wife will start getting suspicious!
Glad you're enjoying the book though!
