Scaling up model race boat to full size

I was looking on eBay and found this model race boat.

Mini mono racing boat

It looks to be quite a revolutionary hull design, apparently took 5 years to perfect and is a class winner.

When Banana Shark was designed I believe they built a model first for testing.

I wonder if this could be scaled up to be a full size race winner.
