Setting an old school Ring 20

I havent set a boat up for years but I`ve always wanted an original Ring 20/21 with the angular windscreen so bought this for £200. It hasnt been raced or painted just a bit tatty.

Just fitted a yamaha v6 200Hp but to my eyes it is sitting too low. the transom is 62ish cm and uncut, wheras ive just measured a Phantom 18 and that was nearer 65cm. The cavitation plate is a couple of cm above the bottom of the boat. I remember my Phantom 18 cav plate being a few inches above bottom of boat, although as I said before its many years since i`ve rigged a boat so perhaps i am imagining things. Would a manual jackplate with minimal setback be any good on this boat?

I know its old and tatty but I love it, it was my dream boat when I was 14, then got into Ring 16 / Phantom 18`s.

Yes bought it from Bournemouth, my friend told me about it, £200 well spent! The vintage trailer snapped in two as soon as I got home and reversed it up a curb

Could start with the bullet a couple of inches below and take it from there. Guess it depends on what type of prop you plan on running though
