This is happening all the time with many things at the moment including small jet engines and gas turbine. The reason is that the price of scrap metal is just trough the roof. A lot of things that enthusiast would buy as project’s are now been bought up by scrap men. And most scrap yards that might have had surplus stuff sitting round are now cashing in whilst metal prices are high. Yet another piece of history that will end up as Coke Cans

like everything these days... metal objects of worth and quality getting scrapped to be turned into fecking ting tong shite ..good old lathes and milling machines ect broke up and re-surfaced via B&Q as shite tools by the charlie's makes me mad
