How fast was you going? Boat looked very stable. My ring would of been bouncing all over the place even with a calmish sea like that.

Yeah that was about what i got from the R20 with a High 5 on but i think engine was a 2.4 though. Laser 2 with 25" or 26" pitch (cant remember) made a difference.

Didn't the sharpe end up as the pacer predator? Lmao. My dad tried racing one of there fabled beast's and he said they are without a doubt the worst boat on the planet. Hook in a straight line and as someone else said on here, made out of chopped strand and pritt stick.

sharp 19

Ive had a couple of sharps and Marshans I had to replace the floor in one of the sharps , very easy job, was running 200hp xr2, good in a straight line but if if dug in on the corners you would get whip lash. I have a load of photos I will see what I can did out.

i know there a basstard for it..every time i power into a tight turn my rear pasengers almost get spat out ..i find it helps if your trimmed out and dont dive in nose deep but you have to trim back half way through for a decent holeshot back out. To go fast in a marshan its un-nerving at 1st

Marshan 18 with 174 Steyr marine diesel

Hear is a link to an interesting Marshan conversion, with inboard 174 Steyr marine diesel.

Seems to go quite well but nods a bit, probably a bit rear end heavy, bet it is cheap to run though.

Pål Torvund is a fantastic norwegian guy with lots of crazy projects.

Now back to Sharp 19. I was thinking about doing a pad in the bottom. My other boat, a swedish boat called Aero 21 (based on swedish classic Smuggler) has a pad all along the bottom, and about 140 cm from the aft a small step that is air lubricated (don't know the correct english term for this but air is led from the deck down to the step). My Aero has not yet seen water (hopefully on wednesday) but other Aeros has been doing almost 80 mph with 150 hp outboards.

So what are your opinions on pad on the Sharp?
