The 23 is still down here. It was in the yard where i keep my boat until a little while ago. I dunno where the 21 ended up.

Uncle owned the 21 in the pic that you've uploaded, sold a couple of years ago to a guy somewhere around the Southampton area I think,
that's all I can help with!

Yeah it had the 2.5 offshore on a 20" leg that had allegedly been played around with (by Chris Lewis?) so was more than 280 and a stand off that raised it slightly.
That then blew a little end on one of the Drivers Wharf Poker Runs ('03 IIRC) and was replaced with a 2.4 200 PH running on carbs.

dont know about the history of the engine, as i said early came from Colin Stoneman, apparently one of a pair off a 28 bat boat that he used to race.
something about a helicopter fuel pump?

Don't know anything about where the engine was prior to being on Rescue Won/Patriot, it certainly went incredibly well though and I remember talk of figures around 330-350hp.
Don't know about the fuel pump either as the boat was in the family when I was younger, before I got into engineering or started working with outboards.
However I do remember there was a fault with fuel starvation and it required a rather large in-line electric pump to consistantly throw enough fuel at the engine.
Will speak to Dad over the weekend and see what he remembers doing to it at the time.
Boat was never the same after changing down to the 2.4, brilliant machine with that efi behind it though! Would still be a very nice set-up with a "standard" 280 ROS efi.
Have got tons of photos of it from the few years that uncle had it, think I uploaded quite a few on here a while back.

yeah we were told it was closer to 350hp, and once roumerd the fastest p21 on the south coast?
there used to be a boat pub in littlehapton marina, the pub was full of photos of it.
again i was much much younger then, i was about 13/14 when dad had that one.
is that not my p23 in the poker run photos, think the 2005 gallery? because im sure it was owned down hayling island way before going up to margate and having those horrible stripes put on it, was one of my plans, get them off! i miss the whole boating thing loads.
im in two minds whether to play around with my car, engine conversions etc or get another boat, somin like a p19 with something reliable on the back.
