Surfury

While collecting Trident from Basildon I had the chance to have a close look at Surfury. She still appears to be in excellent condition and still appears as she did at the end of her last race. With very little apparent deterioration.
Her bilges are clean and dry and well painted the cocerns over leaking engine oil would not appear to be founded. Other than dust of ages she looks great!
I have a couple more pics if anyone is interested.

2 Wheels

As early as 1964,twin driving positions allowed the Gardner brothers, whilst racing to alternate the driving or throttling the boat without moving.See also the thread on Miss Enfield 2 for more comment on driving/throttling.Flying Fish of the same era also had this feature.
