Cleavers give stern lift, big portions of!
If you're running those motors high, it'll run with it's nose in the drink.

I mentioned that to Darren. As I understand it you need to get the whole prop in as well to get nose lift as if they run surface piercing you get the stern lift. Is that right oh mighty one?

Three cleavers running high will give enormous stern lift.
Props are an enigma, a lot of trial an error, however sourcing props to trial without the expense of buying them is a problem, it's bad enough with a twin rig, let alone triples, have you thought about trying bravo's?

I have two et lightnings try next the cleavers actually do drive quiet well due to the weight of fuel im carrying but ive ordered some hydromotive 4 blade props from states to try! Get a wicked rooster with the cleavers tho!

Which Hydromotives have you ordered, and what pitch?

I think there are 3 different versions of the hydomotive 4 bladers

the Quad IV
the Quad IV-X
and the Quad IV-Plus

The Quad IV-Plus is a big diameter version of the original quad IV, the IV-X seems to basically be there version of a Mercruiser Bravo1 4 blader (loads of bow lift)

I ran a quad iv on my cat, it was quite a bit faster than a bravo 1

I fancy trying them, but they have a bit of a reputation for throwing blades

Yes it was the original quad iv, the only hydromotive props ive heard of throwing blades are the high performance 3 blade, ie lab finished with very thin blades.

Ive got a 29 rh your welcome to try if you can get hold of a lefty.

I see. I know Pascoe had a few quad IV's giving trouble on his bigger twin 300 powered SR9's
