Do test wheels exist these days? Anyone know where I could get one?

Its a kind of propeller, Used for testing, also good for running your engine in while still on trailer.

I've got a home grown one from years back, it was 'adjusted' to pull 6000rpm on a fresh, happy XR2 Sport. we used to test each motor on Richards cat, on the trailer, on the slipway in the canal at Denham, before setting off to a race.

I'd measure the rpm with a digi tacho, so knew before we set off if they were making every wee hp they could.

Nothing more annoying than getting the boat to a venue, in the drink, and the first time you're aware of a missfire, or other problem, is on the way to the muster.

We did the same thing with the 'T' boat, before every race. (with a different test wheel, obviously)

It was like our very own little dyno.
