That can't be true Barry 'cause Master Boat Builder Mike Ring will be building this 13m to race in RB11 . Much more comfortable and less costly than those Outer Limit thingy's

Class A for instance is a MINIMUM of 2 engines and a total of up to 27 litres diesel or petrol inboards or 22 litres outboards.

Will it be here
Oh Yes - We have a plan
The boat will be here, heart says race it, head says - no shakedown/testing/lifeing of components/ chance to set the balance of the boat..... so ..... race the Fountain
Fountain is fast, reliable & about to get faster (New engines)
But .... Heart says race it

It did not make it
As many of you now Know the Outerlimits did not get built in time
It was left & left & left...... then completed in a rush and was far from perfect
Most prominent problem was getting the turbo's to spool up & pop the boat up out of the water, vent tubes have now been added and exhaust gases being directed over the props.
To top it all off the engine upgrade for the fountain has gone on a world tour instead of Southampton so that aint ere in time either!!
We'll be there..... just in the same gear we've been in all year...
Photo's show new vent tubes etc

That's such a great shame having had this amazing beast built for endurance and the CTC and not be able to use it must be just sooo ...
You did get a mention at the bottom of this article by Matt Tulio but no consolation for not having it here though
http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...ress%E2%80%9D/
On a plus side this surely will be far quicker than your expectations posted earlier on in this thread ...

As on USA discussion forums they talk of the 51' fully kitted out as a cruiser achieving 100mph with 3x600hp petrol's and 100+ with 2x 1075hp so surely with 4x560hp diesel engines speeds would be around that ball park if not higher and again taken against the Buzzi multi engined boats of Blue fpt which was said to do around 75mph with 3x480hp engines that had no doubt been pitched for higher revs as to run on 2 engines should it be required to in one of the RB legs and then their is the 110+mph of the 4x600hp winged mono, both these hulls will probably be less efficient through water than the Outerlimits hull or so I would of thought

FPT Parts
Hi Smiffy,
No engine parts required at the moment, in fact the only thing that we require is the boat.... shipped!
This boat was specifically ordered for CTC 50th....
Will contact you if we ship the boat over, we are currently tempted to repaint it white & sell it in the states (saves shipping/VAT costs)
