The New Rossi Extreme

had a sneak peak at the ideas being planned for the new extreme 26 the other night, the new owner paul is planning to give the classic lines of the old tony davis favourite a facelift. he plans to add a fixed swim platform to the 26 which will effectively push it up to a 28, the bow deck is in for a workover as well with a slightly rounded look to it rather than the flat current look of the extreme range.
The plan is to give it a look similar to that of the new aston martin bonnet, with a rounded look from the sides of the hull towards the middle then rising to a thinner raised centre section that runs from the bow anchor hatch back to the base of the screen.

i'm told that the current 26 moulds are to be extended to a 30 and modified in the next 2 weeks or so to incorporate the integrated swim platform and new deck styling, see attactched line diagram.
hopefully will be able to get some sneak pics of the new 30, which i'm told will be the first out of the moulds in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

Any thoughts ???

Tony is still making the 24 and 21 as far as i am aware but Paul ross has bought the 26 moulds from Tony, paul was one of tonys customers with "Extreme Desire" which i think was sold by paul and transported over to majorca or spain he has decided that the first new ones in the 26 range will be modified to include an integrated swim platform in the hull ( he was never keen on the bolt on addition platform on his own boat ), as a strong supporter of the Extreme "product" he has now taken on extending and building the new 30 from the 26 moulds and extending the current 26 moulds with the same 30 design to make it circa 28 with the platform.

It's not been a secret, it's been talked about on here on several occasions!

I'm still building the 21 and the 24, as and when I like the customer!

well it's just got bigger

Due to a few technical bits and bobs that our web host could explain, its just got longer. it now comes out at just about 32 foot.
It just had to get bigger otherwise it looked like someone had ploughed it into the langstone pontoon. ( bring it on pinochio )
But believe me the revamped plug is looking good , and i have half of it currently up my nose as proof ( wax on, wax off - what all day long paul, give me a rest)
Boy this Rossi guy is a perfectionist.
Oh well the hull is finally there now.
next week we start on extending the deck.
