Historic race boats are getting their respect globally recently as Americans are putting up an association for `em, but also Swedes have been running since last year Classic offshore in Roslagsloppet.
Last years winner was a period correct Cigarette 38 Hawk.
The rules are mainly that any 15 year old race boat is free to attend and that made me Wonder do anyone know the whereabouts of Notareal Cougar Cat of UIM-1 fame ?
WI think nige can answer the story about the boat..was it a new one etc..next year Mattila won UIM-1 in a 40 Skater sponsored by Finnscrew but don´t think the Cougar was ever sponsored by Finnscrew.

I´m interested in that one mostly others would probably like Didier Pironis Conquest Cat 39 "Euromarche-Rocky" thats up for sale and surely there are other.

I can tell you exactly where The 40 Cougar Notareal / Finnscrew is...
I am looking at it right now. Its in Sydney Australia and is being total restored.
It now has a composite deck on her for safety reasons. (can't race in Australia sitting in the sponsons)
The cougar did race as Finnscrew. As well as the Skater.
If anyone has any more photos or information on the Notareal / Finnscrew / Fleetlease / Smorgan steel, Cougar. I would love to hear from them.
