Hi Scand, the ones shown were made from 10mm stainless, we can do them in 8mm as well, we could probably also drill a few lightening holes without loosing much structural strength.
I guess that the front one in 10mm is about 12KG, maybe a bit more. We have them drawn in Solidworks, when my designer is in next week I will get him to do the calcs.

Will oval work? all the ones I've seen have been made out of rectangular section!
