Ultimate Upgrades
OK I'll admit it's research for an article of the same name I'm doing!
What is your top 5 ultimate upgrades from what you have - obviously this is based on what you have and what you would sensibly add to your boat - also what do you think is the absolute upgrade (Once you've got your dream boat).
Thanks!

To get this back on track...
Chartplotter
Cockpit lights
Foot throttle
Trim tabs
Not sure on the ultimate one, other than buying an inboard bernico!

Probably anyone from the typical "Boatmadder" to the average boater in the street with craft ranging from a small ski boat up to small to medium gin palace, so quite a wide range really. I'm thinking of including those underwater lights that are great in a Chav sort of way!

Upgrades
Hi John,
for me my upgrades would be.
1/chartplotter(new Garmin kits is the nuts) 2/footthrottle 3/good set of seats 4/pro trim 5/small LED underwater lights(bit chav but they look great and at night the blue ones attract fishes) and Del is right a swedish bird would set it all off!
We are doing alot of upgrades at the moment being winter an all that.....seems everyone out here is wanting.
1/LED underwater lighting 2/upgrading Raymarine to Garmin 3/LED sign writing for the transom(linked to thier stereo so it is beat activated....SAD, but i have done 5 boats this winter?) 4/low level deck mood lights 5/Hi/Low bathing platform (hydraulic)

On a performance boat I'd say a prop upgrade from standard ally prop to a worked race prop coss it can totally transform the way the boat performs

i was going to say nice new NMEA2000 garmin chart plotter but the perfect worked prop has to be top of the list then followed by protrim or the Garmin unit.

Or run your hairdryer eh?
The obvious answer for you lot is:
1) Tubes
2) A bowie knife
3) A chartplotter showing that outside of the solent ain't neccessarily 'Here be dragons' territory after all....
4) Another bowie knife
5) A dry suit.
For the rib-nobbers it would be:
1) A cabin or some other weather protection
2) A cabin or some other weather protection
3) A cabin ...... oh you get the idea.
4) A bangin' stereo
5) An operation to remove some of that sense of innate superiority over 'hardboat' types.

In no particular order: - Bow & Stern thruster so I can single-hand regardless of weather or crew ability
- Raymarine plotter, radar (and AIS)...Navionics charts are the nuts!
- Gaffrig 270 degree trim guages...so much more movement than OEM
- Heater!
- Electric toilet...not those nasty hand pump or cassette types
Wishlist: - Lab finished props
- Anything to make me go faster!
