Am I reading the article correctly when it says they are trying to be the current record of 113.25mph? I thought these boats would be alot faster then that...

If the conditions are right should be close to the 200mph mark, Maybe over. An outboard racer is also coming over to try and set a record. Wish I could be there, An unlimited on Coniston will be awesome.

I suspect it will be more like 200.43+ percentage he will be shooting for unless he is going to re licence himself. Mike will no doubt chime in. Certainly the article is slightly misleading as unlimited hydroplanes have certainly run before in the UK. I suppose there are several things he could try for, Gas Turbine Unlimited, maybe even a K7 Platinum Star although again I don't know if he's eligible. Guess they'll find out when the entry hit's.

I am looking forward to going up north.

To break up the journey - I am going to have dinner with Harry (My Son) in Madchester on the Sunday night.

He has booked us into this gaff >> http://www.australasia.uk.com/

I also would be interested to see the entry list?
