A pair would be in B class, one would be in D class but you would need an auxiliary.

To be fair there hasn't been much change in the latest tidy up of the rules, in fact I think that it's just the turbo equivalence that's been altered for inboards although strangely not for outboards?

Quite right! I was thinking of engine regulations but that is certainly the biggest change and it will be harder to tell Cat owners that they're not welcome now - it's all about definitions, the thing is when does a stabilised monohull stop being a trimaran?
In all fairness the reason that Cats are not included is because of their tendency to flip over backwards and the Bladerunner isn't likely to do that - there may have been some influence amongst the organisers as well!
