Van/tow vehicle??
So I'm looking for a new van for the business, and thought I'd go for something I could tow with too for when I come across to the UK with it (15mph tractor won't cut it over there!!)
Seems there's nothing out there though! I'm either gonna have to go for a 4x4 or some form (probably a D40 Navara, but not ideal for putting tools in!), or a van, such as a trafic and keep an old 4x4 for towing. What a pain!
Anyone got any better suggestions? Needs to not be too old, can't be dripping oil on customer's driveways!!
James

Thats a good idea, I'll have a look for one of those. Do they do the 4x4 one in normal swb lowtop format?
Any links? I'm hopeless at finding UK stuff!
Cheers, James

Vw T5
If you have enough funds you won't get better than a VW T5 transporter.
I have a 2.5tdi 174bhp and it is a great all rounder, tows very well and there is a 4 motion available if you really need it.
Had mine remapped as soon as I got it to 230bhp

second that, great to drive, eats up the miles and tows big lumps easily. my brother had a lower engine we used to tow a mastercraft with, was still quicker then my 2.0 golf.

Or The Vito 120 3.0 V6 204hp as standard with the latest Euro5 model @ 224hp. The Brabus chip fitted to the same engine in the car versions gives another 40 hp but sensibly they don't offer this for the vans(chickens)The VW is our main competitor and they are a good product but I think VW have gone the wrong way making their new model only a 2.0 engine so hopefully Merc can gain some sales.Nic
