Video cameras

I see from many threads, that many of you have waterproof sports video cameras. I was wondering what you all think of them and which one is rated the best.

Thanks in advance

Pete

We've used a GoPro HD cam a good bit earlier this year ....until we did something really stupid and lost it overboard. Quality was amazing, and the thing is really waterproof and simple to use. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. http://www.goprocamera.com/

Should preface by saying I've nowt to do with GoPro or anyone selling them. As mentioned above we 'used' to have a GoPro HD up until a few weeks ago. It was working great for us until we went out for a run in a few thundercats in heavy surf. Long story short ....one cat flipped ....I went to help right it from my cat ..... big wave .... pushed lifted nose of other cat down on my helmet ...sheared mount for camera .....neptune gets a nice pressie.

Anyway, I sent an email to GoPro explaining what had happened (totally not their fault - just our stupidity) and they came back with some very kind words and a 40% discount on a replacement. To be honest I was expecting 10% at best. Big thumbs up then on some great customer service.

It sounds like the Go Pro HD is the one. Anyone know where I can find a cheaper supplier?

Just doing a tech article for the mag and there's these as well: www.predatorworld.co.uk, separate recorder with a screen which the GoPro doesn't have but not HD ..... yet
