Virus scam on boatmad site?

Jon you can move or delete this if it's in the wrong place or irrelevant:- I received a private message today from GaFarozzMan on here (his date of boatmad membership commencement is today) stating that a virus had been detected from my pc. Is this some kind of scam?? I haven't opened the email on this site as I was able to read it on my mail server (yahoo). Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Nigel
(of course I may in fact have some kind of problem on my pc and that the message is genuine, but I prefer to be cautious!)

I received it too.

My advice is not to go to the link enclosed in the message and to ignore it.

I had the same message a few minutes ago. Must be a scam of some kind as I use a mac and an iPod touch to view and post here. I didn't even bother clicking the link and just deleted the message

Yes, a 'bot' i'm affraid. They're pain in the arse!

We get a few join literally every day. I usually spot em and delete the user before they reap havoc, not always, but usually. Todays got his mass PM scam in before I saw him. user now deleted.
I need to updte the forum software, hopefully the newer version will be better equiped to filter them out.

Sorry guys.

Is this what is now considered a truly British person in the Labour Government.

If you work in a legitimate job pay your taxes and dont claim benefits, then you are considered non British.............Ya just gotta laugh!
