Vulture ventures?

Can anyone tell me why my boat (the revenger, lite relief) has vulture ventures stickers all over it?
Could well be that someone just liked them, but having taken the little scoop off the engine cover at the back, it revealed part of a massive vulture ventures graphic which would've been the size of the engine hatch! There's two on the transom too.
Just wondered if she was ever linked to them, I've only just started to learn about them today!

Cheers, James

Mr Berrow liked a sticker or two, and the odd bit of embroidery.

Ohhhhhhhh. I hoped it had some amazing and interesting history involving them somehow, never mind!

Who were vulture ventures anyhoo? Can't find much about them on the net other than that mr Pascoe was a part for a while...

Vulture ventures were based at Hamble point in one of the old Cougar marine /Fairey workshops the company was owned by an american called Charles Burnett the third ? he raced in various classes 4 ltr ,class 2 and also had a 1.3 litre boat he liked yellow ! boats, vehicles, tanks ! they also prepared boats and ran a series called offshore 2000 ? I stand to be corrected. He also had the gas powered record in the cat that was on ebay last week.

Cool, nowt wrong with yellow! Didn't see that cat on ebay unfortunately

I can see Mr Berrow was good at his woodwork, it's everywhere in the revenger!

Peter suffered delam on both fwd topsides at different times. I think there was a bulkhead somewhere in the cabin area that caused the hard spot.
Got repaired by Trio's each time (the builders I think) who did a pretty nice job.
The boat was originally built without Slogget's knowledge, but he found out and Trio's / Peter had to cough up the royalty payment.

Peter raced it first with John Burden in '95 as a basic entry in the experimental 'sportsboat' class which was Ben Mazur's baby. then Shelly (his then bird)

Matt's reference to carpentry is a private joke about his handy work with wooden trophies that he presented his own team with.

I'd seen the offshore flyer website just before i bought her, quite a few good pics on there! The repair for the delamination is indeed very strong, although it's easy to see from outside due to a line around the outside of it and different coloured gel used. One thing on the list of work for this winter. There is indeed a bulkhead at the front of the problem area.

Ran her in the poker run over here yesterday and she was absolutely amazing. Left everything else in her wake despite only running the 'little' engine. Wind was a good force 6 with quite some swell, got some awsome air! Any other snippets of info on here or photos etc would be greatly appreciated!

Well when i turned around having got to St Peter Port, the only boat anywhere near was your dad about 300m behind, everyone else was miles back!

The racing will settle this one

Vulture Ventures belonged to Charles Burnett. Pascoe was his race team manager and ran VV's.

I worked there for a while mainly in the gas era. We destroyed lots of XR2 power heads with the gas no probs Mark would call up the USA and lots more would get air freighted in!!
