Weights, anyone know?

Doing a little calculation in my head (on calculator ) and can't find a way to know the weight of things. I could do it the Archimedese (spelling) way and sink my engine and boat into a large container and weigh the amount displaced. Anyway does anyone know the rough weight of a Merc black max (1992) 250? and a 21ft (1993) Ring (with upholstery etc)? if not where could I find out as I have tried to look on the tinternet but to no avail

You could take it to a weighbridge, then go back with just the trailer and take one from t'other

I've done it like that way to. than you know exactly what it weighs. I live in a little village and here are two places to weigh so. I think you find it everywhere. A lot of factorys have them...

Or you could just give us a call on 07855 850506 and pop over to the workshop and we will weigh it for a modest fee.

South Devon - near Salcombe - not exactly local for you! It depends on how accurate you need it to be - cranes have scales on them, but they arn't as accurate as proper calibrated load cells.

Besides how much differance will it make knowing how much you weigh - do you have ballast in the boat you can take out?

Excess batteries aparently. Also 60kg of lead shot under Ana's seat.

When we were weighed out at little Ampton we were 50kg overweight.

Plus a load of repair work going on with the boat right now will add a lot of weight to the boat.

Finally - yes, it has to be exact, the load cell method, and not the 'crain scale' method...

We hope to be down in Poole for Cancer Charities - are you near there?

It was sent to 'Andy' who races with Val.

I have not yet looked at the Blade Runner. I hope to go check this weekend.

Rumour has it I may be seeing my powerheads in the near future...

Tom for what its worth I think a 200 is around 189kg (?)
As for a weightbridge in Plymouth, we have got one. Just keep driving up and down past the St Beruit junction on the A38 and they will soon pull you in and take you to the nearest one (the old bill dont have much crime to deal with down this way). Failing that ring 01752 304141 and ask.
