Ok chaps.....wait for it! :o)

Yep, she is a pretty awesome rig.

Apologies to those of you that had an inkling, but i couldnt tell.

It was just tooo good a find to tempt fait.

2005 Cigarette 39 Top Gun Unlimited.
Rarer centre steering version.
Engines: 2 x Merc Racing 525HP. (only the baby ones)
Name: Honey Rider.
Full Cabin and all the toys.
Including a stereo set up that could compete wiv Tiger Tiger...ha ha.

The best bit is she has only done 30 hrs and has been dry stored since 2006.

The worst is, the exhaust headers are corroded and need replacing and the manifolds need pressure testing.
So any help on this front would be much appreciated.

Pictures to follow a bit later on.

How awesome.
Was it in the UK, or did you import it ?

Don't understand why these awesome things get mothballed and not used.

Its not as bad as it first looks, a 300hp 2.5efi will burn 30gph flat out plus 2 stroke oil, Rich is running two on his P28 so that's 60gph on a 600hp 28ft boat, advantage of 4 stroke I suppose.

Another note, this is US gallons which is 3.7L/Gal not uk (4.5/Gal)

My guess at current marina prices is £500-£700 an hour when the foots down. £10k a year in expenses. But hey, it's a loverly bit of kit.

Same engines & drives
10% lighter rig & although slightly slower

WOT@80mph = 307.72 liters per hour.
52mph cruising= 123.30 litres per hour.

Soooooooooo........doing a quick calc. then
That'll cost Rich in the region of:

Petrol
60gph = 270L
270L x approx. £1.36/L = £367.2

2 stroke oil
32:1 Petrol/Ratio, and costs circa £75 for 10 ltrs.

Therefore 270L requires 8.4L oil which is £63 worth.

Total 367 + 63 = £430

As Ross said.......... It's not as bad as it looks.

I really dunno what all the fuss is about.

Work hard, play hard.
Lifes for livin, live it!

my 280's do 200 to 220 litres an hour flat out. Supurb unleaded and oil works out to be £ 1.80 per litre so that equates to just shy of £ 400. For the record decent 2 stroke oil castrol etc is now something like £12.50 a litre.
Its not like you will be flat out all the time

Help Required.

Can anyone recommend a Stainless Steel Exhaust fabricator in the Surrey, Hampshire or Middlesex areas?

And/OR ..... A GOOD mercuiser mechanic in the same areas?

Cheers
