What engine for a p20

Ive been offered good money for my last cosworth engine and as i cant find a boat big enougth to put it on at a sensible price i may aswell take it,

What outboards do people run on phantoms ?
One thing ive learnt is stay away from brideport xr2 s etc
for realibilty reasens.

What about a Mercury 300 promax? not to heavy but just enougth power?

That engine was built in sweden by God. Does God live in sweden then or is it just where he builds his engines.

I question the 90mph on a Phantom 18 too. Would need to be quite a bit over 250hp I reckon.

Happy with mine (was on boat / planing to race / alwyas wanted one as a kid! ) starts first time every time and hasnt missed a beat. Taz says he wants to go faster he has @ least 65 maybe more horses than me but due to the size of the engine the legnth of his shaft (oh er missus!) / setup he cant enjoy the full performance of the his boat. I had had a choice I would get a 2.4 / 2.5 l but a the current costs of that XR2 on ebay and given i know what a p20 is like with one on the back i would take a look. Taz currently uses about 30% more fuel than me on the same run with the engine he has - that cant be good especially if your not going any quicker.
