Surely if he won lots of races and had to drop three then he'd drop the 3 worth leaving him with a load of wins?

Think I agree with Just4Fun;

A powerboat is a boat powered by an engine; a speedboat is a powerboat that is designed primarily for speed.

So, a speedboat is a type of powerboat.

I would personally split the definition (for the "Boats & JetSkis" website) between a speedboat & a sportsboat. Phantoms, Rings, Argos etc being speedboats; Fletchers, Pictons, SeaDoo etc being sportsboats.

Anything decked out purely for racing (BatBoats, Racedeck Phantoms etc) would be a Racing-Boat.

Easy.

And who will be driving your Phantom 20 at 94MPH????

Oh is that the speed you plan to acheive on the lake or towing it there!

Good luck

That'll make it a powerboat then, cos I suspect they'll want you to wear a lid.

Now matt you have not been following, its a speedboat, because a speedboat is faster than a powerboat
I think it is time to put this one to bed

Borderline boats will be placed in speedboat section at admins discression
