Phantom 18. Got a 2.4 engine cowl at least. Wire and wing steering does indicate ex race boat.

The more I look at this boat it could very well be an ex Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club boat once called Fandango. Does it have a unusually small steering wheel and an aircraft style red covered toggle start switch? Odd questions I know but they were characteristics I remembered.

I believe the P18 is over 18.5ft. The P19 has a moulded windscreen and has a far more rounded deck at the rear around the engine well. My P18 looks identical to that one.

Yes it does look like 'WMBRC' above and 'Windermere' below on the screen. If it is Fandango it seemed to drive well in handicapped club racing on Windermere. I'm unsure if it still has the same motor (wasn't a 2.4 EFI at that time) but it could run mid 70s to 80 mph. Not seen the boat for at least 6 years so unfortunately can't sensibly advise on the quality of the package.

Definitely a P18.
XL is 20' and as Brookp01 says, the deck is very different. XL also has the 'Phantom Pad'.

No doubt that that boat is Fandango. Good boat. Same as my 18, pretty light weight.

Would that be similar to a Velocity pad?

No, they don't appear to 'warp' into the forefoot on the velocity. Just like a old door nailed on the bottom.

My genuine Phantom 21's RYA Measurement Certificate says the measured length is 6.46 metres, or 21ft 2.33 inches.

UIM measurement isn't LOA, it's from the bow (very tip) to the bottom of the transom on the centreline. so the extra length (I don't know the exact LOA of a P21) will be the transom angle (circa 13 degrees) leaning back up to the top of the transom. could be an extra 6" or so for the LOA figure above the UIM figure.

If I am going of thread delete.

I remember back years ago when Nik Keyser and Eric Smillie needed to get their 19' Marshan measured, they towed the boat round to Tony Needell's house at the latest time of night.

Eric threw stones at Tony's bedroom window, he woke up, got dressed went downstairs and measured the boat.

I suspect Tiff slept soundly that night.
