Where can I go !

Hi I have a trailered 15ft Dejon type boat. I live in Halifax West Yorkshire and I'm looking for somewhere local to launch and try/use my boat and I'm having no success what so ever.

I have looked at the river Calder which would be fine but I cannot find a slipway I can use. I have spoken to the river and canal trust who can supply me a licence but no way of actually getting onto the water !

Could anyone help me or point me in the right direction to a river or body of water that I can go to and try out my boat !

Hi Nickg, try a place called Billabong which is in a village called Brandesburton where I live, you can try your boat there, is poss 2hrs towing from Halifax across the M62 towards Hull.
