I know this comment may sound kinda stupid, but I wonder if JCB would be intrested in using there diesel engines and sponsoring the running of them, I realise there is no marineisation of them to date but I am sure a company may step in to take up the challenge. After all they have now made such a big splash in the news headllines with regards there land speed attempt's who knows maybe they would like to remain in the public eye, if you can sell them on the idea of classic offfshore powerboat racing they maybe hooked

ps... I dont think there is any such word as marineisation but you get the gist

Great minds think etc etc, it would be very good for the sport though, a company the size of JCB being involved, would probably require someone like a sports company to sell them the idea or someone famous from the power boat world, although time is running out to get them interested they could do with having an invite to Cowes

It does not state on their site any info on the block, just the fact it is 5 ltr, 750 hp and 1105 lb ft at 3800 rpm, so detuned down to 600 hp should give good reliability
