personally i would use Farecla G3 fine grade rubbing compound followed by an original SIMONIZ car wax.

Your boat needs more than just compound.

Those deeply faded areas need blocking back with 1200, then 1500 wet n dry, then mopping, then Simonizing, but you already know that, coz we spoke about it in Cowes last year.

('Simoniz Original' no longer manufactured, so you'd better search around a few motor factors to find some)

Yeah, I've just bought ten tins, and am looking for more.

The last of the NON feckin synthetic 'load of old bollix' wipe on-wipe off, minute wax's

R.I.P. Simoniz 'Original'

It will look better, in the short term, just won't last.
Get rid of the top couple of thou of oxidized gell, get it shiney & waxed and it'll look good for ages, and be easy to clean.

that's the stuff, but that's a bit steep!

if you buy 4 or 5 tins, expect to pay about 4 quid a tin.

What ever polish you decide on, always mix it with a large quantity of "Elbow Polish" to ensure a long lasting shine.

Always works for me.
