I have just heard the most outrageous/slanderous rumour............
It is about the Harmsworth Trophy..
"APPARENTLY" his Lordship wants £5000 plus ALL expenses !!! to present the trophy!!!!!!!!
This makes my blood boil, who the f**k starts these things?????????
I have knwn Shaun for nearly forty years and there is NO BLOODY WAY he would do or ask such a thing, he is a stallwart of our sport and one of it's greatest ambasadors...
PLEASE,PLEASE STOP THIS/THESE RUMOURS...................

Well, as you may know I have just "retired" from being chairman of the ORC, due to pressures of young family and a very time consuming work. Really quite a shame as I did enjoy it and hope that I brought a sense of fairness and sense to the comittee, and the sport.
It would be great to have time to do the Round Britain and I would be very tempted to join a good team- if there are any offers !
Was talking to Mikael Frode a week or so ago and he could be tempted out in his old class 2 32ft mono with 3 X stock Verados.

Now I would like to see Micheal back again, a true sportsman and the boat perfect for the legs south from Scotland.
I'm very surprised apart from Fab no others have come forward...........
Still like always half will leave it to the last minute and half drop out!!! Got a feeling there will be more following/chasing the pac.................
